Frequently Asked Questions

When are Vintage China Workshops held?

We host workshops every Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 4:30 PM.

How It Works?

Reserve your spot with a $15 deposit per person, which goes toward your final purchase. During your workshop, you’ll browse our curated vintage china collection and select the pieces that speak to you. While our team carefully drills and prepares your plates, you can relax with complimentary tea and cookies in our cozy workshop space. Once your pieces are ready, we’ll guide you through assembling your custom tiered stand. Pricing is based on the china you choose, plus hardware ($10 for 1–2 tiers / $15 for 3–4 tiers). You’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind functional piece that’s as beautiful as it is meaningful.

How long is the workshop?

Most small groups complete their stand in 30–45 minutes, but we recommend planning for up to 2 hours to allow for drilling time and a relaxed experience.

Can I bring my own China?

Absolutely! We love when guests bring heirloom or sentimental pieces. There is a $15 workshop fee + a $2.50 drilling fee per when bringing your own pieces. A quick waiver is required before drilling.

What’s included in the experience?

You’ll select your plates from our curated collection (or bring your own), choose your hardware, and assemble a one-, two-, three-, or four-tier stand. We handle the drilling while you relax with tea and cookies.

How many people can attend a class?

We host up to 6 guests per session to keep the experience cozy and personal.

How much does it cost?

Each cake stand is fully customizable, so pricing depends on the plates and tiers you choose. Plates range from $3–$25 each, and hardware is $10 for 1–2 tiers or $15 for 3–4 tiers. Most guests spend between $35–$75 total.

Do you host private parties?

Yes! We love hosting birthdays, bridal showers, and special gatherings. Email tyra@globallocalshop.com to plan your event.

Where do we park?

The closest free parking is at the Liberty Lot. The Town Hall Garage is also nearby (free on weekends.) Additional parking options are available throughout Downtown Leesburg.
